A Selection of Paganized Prayers and Charms
from Volumes 1 & 2 of the Carmina Gadelica
Morgan "Láirbhán" Daimler
Morgan Daimler, 2011
The Carmina Gadelica is a six volume collection of prayers, charms, and folklore from Scotland assembled
around 1900 by Alexander Carmichael. This book represents modernized, paganized versions of selected prayers
and charms from the first two volumes of the series. It is designed to be used by Celtic Polytheists, Druids,
or anyone else interested in Celtic Spirituality. All original deity references have been replaced with the
names of Irish Gods, and the language has been modernized, but otherwise the content has been kept as true
to the original as possible.
Morgan Daimler has been an Irish Polytheist since 1994 and a member of Ord na Darach Gile (the Order of the
White Oak) since 2008. Her poetry has been published in two anthologies as well as newsletters and magazines.
She enjoys teaching classes and co-running a women´s spirituality group out of Pandora´s Box in Norwich, CT.
She has also taught at festivals, conferences and Connecticut´s Pagan Pride Day.
